Get to Know Lauren! Mary Isabel Event's First Intern

In the world of events, many life milestones are celebrated. Whether it be a baptism, a wedding, a birthday party, a bridal/baby shower, or a corporate meeting, events are a way to gather friends and family to celebrate something life has brought about. They are a way to celebrate a life milestone.

Events have always been very special element to my life. Attending numerous concerts, festivals, parties, ceremonies and weddings along with watching many shows such as Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings my love for planning began to grow. Now, studying in this industry and interning with Mary Isabel Events have given me the reassurance that this industry will always allow me to pursue my passions.

My junior year of high school I started to really think about what I wanted to study in college and pursue in my future. I wanted something fun, that would always be changing and keep me on my feet. Combining those desires with my lifelong goal to always help others in every way I can, event planning just seemed like the perfect industry for me.

Why did I choose to pursue a career in events? Well, to me a job in events is exciting, a good kind of crazy, but most of all, rewarding. There is nothing better than seeing a smile on a client’s face when they walk into the ballroom and see their wedding set up, or the pure happiness on a child’s face when they see their birthday party!

I am so excited to be interning for Mary Isabel Events this Fall! I look forward to the knowledge and experience I will gain along with the memorable, fun, and exciting events I will be able to be apart of.
